Favorite Pizza Crust Recipe Our Family Loves

Since pizza is such a favorite meal in America, I thought I would share our favorite pizza crust recipe with all of you. This recipe is easy to make in multiple batches using recloseable quart bags. These complete bags can be stored in the refrigerator for easy access on busy evenings.

The way I save time with this recipe is that I take 4-6 quart bags and turn the edges over and stand them up in front of me along with the bowl I will be using to mix my dough for that night. I add all the dry ingredients to each bag. I seal all the bags that I have filled and store them in the refrigerator. That way I am making dough for today, but on another busy day, I can just take a bag out of the refrigerator and add a cup of warm water to it knowing that it will be a very short time until my dough is ready to use.

This recipe can also be used to make quick bread sticks. You can top them with butter and garlic salt if you like. Just make them in the form of bread sticks and bake only until they start to brown.

Here is our Favorite Pizza Crust Recipe:

Dissolve 2 t yeast in 1 c warm water

Add 1 t sugar or honey

1 t salt

2 T oil

2 1/2 c flour (this can be half wheat and half white flour)

You may need a little more flour than this. Just add extra if the dough is too sticky.

Beat together in mixer with dough hook. Let rest for 5 minutes. Roll dough out onto pizza pans and let rise for 30-90 minutes depending on how thick you want your crust.

Top with your favorite pizza toppings.

Bake for 30 minutes at 350 degrees or until cheese begins to brown.

Another easy pizza alternative is to use a piece of pita bread for each person. Top with your favorite pizza toppings and bake for 15-20 minutes or until cheese begins to brown.
