When thinking about building a healthy immune system, there are several key components that come to mind for me. Others may think differently, but here are my top tips.
Tips for Building a Healthy Immune System:
- Eat well – they say that 70% of your immune system is in your digestive track. If we eat donuts and ice cream all day, chances are we will be sick more often. The better you can eat, the better chance you will have of having a healthy immune system. Good protein and lots of fruits and vegetables are a good thing to focus on.
- Take good supplements – Although some argue that supplements are not necessary, I have to disagree. The soil we grow our food in and the chemicals that are sprayed on crops cause the food we eat to not contain as many nutrients as it did years ago. This makes it important to add basic supplements like vitamin C, good omega 3 oil, calcium/magnesium, some type of greens like YL MultiGreens and any others that you feel will give your body the support it needs.
- Essential Oils – These are becoming more popular for good reason. People are seeing results and are helping their families live healthier. Applying oils, putting them in a diffuser and taking oils in liquid or capsules are all great ways to build your family’s immune system. The best immune building oils from Young Living (the only oils I would ever put on or give to my family because of their purity) include Thieves, Immupower, Raven, RC, Eucalyptus, Lemon, Peppermint, Lavender, and Purification. Feel free to contact me if you’re not sure what oils to use or how to get them at the best price.
The more healthy things you can do for your family in a given week, the better chance you have of keeping their immune systems built up. There are no guarantees, but doing healthy things over a period of time will reap much better benefits in the long run than doing unhealthy things.
Keep working at it mama! Your intention and hard work will pay off in the end. Keep feeding your family good and healthy foods, give them good supplements, and diffuse, apply and ingest good quality essential oils.
